This Is Not a Court or Government Office. This private resource cannot search a nonpublic court file, set or reset a hearing, issue a certified copy, seal a case, accept a payment, or provide legal advice. Contact the clerk or court directly for those services.
Need an Official Docket or Record?
The Craven County Clerk of Superior Court is the official custodian for county trial-court files and the proper source for a court-authenticated record. Public Case Summaries can be found through the state portal, but a Portal view is not an official copy. Use the right channel for the task:
- A public Case Summary: start with the Craven County case search and then use the clerk terminal or file if online access is incomplete.
- A court date or setting: consult the Craven County court calendar, Portal Search Hearings, and the appropriate division for confirmation.
- A certified copy: ask the clerk for the exact docket, judgment, order, or document and state that certification is needed.
- A criminal or traffic file: use Criminal District or Criminal Superior after verifying the court assignment.
- A civil, estate, or special-proceeding record: route the request to Civil Division or the clerk division that maintains the file.
